(WWJ) Remember when the I-75 project finally completed after years of hassle and headache, and commuters celebrated? Brace yourself.
Ramp closures will begin to take effect this week ahead of another I-75 modernization project.
This time, it's not downriver and downtown Detroit that will be affected, it's south Oakland County.
Starting at 9 a.m. Wednesday the southbound ramps from eastbound and westbound Big Beaver will be closed -- the hub for Somerset Collection -- along with the southbound ramp from Rochester Road, and the Southbound ramp to Eastbound 14 Mile Road. The closures will remain in place throughout the 2019 construction season.
Additionally, the Connor Street north and southbound ramps, and the French Road ramp to westbound I-94 will be closed through mid-November.
