FARMINGTON (WWJ) - Police have released a composite image of a home invasion suspect at large in Oakland County.
The Farmington Public Safety department is reminding residents to keep their doors locked — even while they're at home — after a suspect entered an unlocked residence in the city.
According to police, at around 3:40 p.m. Thursday, a "suspicious male" walked into an unlocked house in the 21000 block of Birchwood St., in the area of 8 Mile and Farmington Rd.
When the man was confronted by a teenage resident, he immediately fled the scene.
There were no reports of anything taken from the home and no one was hurt.
The suspect is described as white male with a thin build, short dark brown or black hair and a scruffy goatee. He was last seen wearing a dirty black jacket with a hood.
Anyone who may recognize the suspect or who has any information about suspicious activity in the area is asked to call Farmington Public Safety at 248-474-4700, Ext 2.
