(WWJ) Missing for five months from a senior center, the body of a Detroit man was found in the basement.
Kam Franks, 38, was at the Faithful Helping Hands Community Center in Detroit, where he was staying for unknown reasons. He lived alone in an apartment on Cadieux before he was there, and was last seen March 16.
Family members said he was fine physically, but had "poor mental conditions."
And then he disappeared.
His body was discovered in the basement of the center. It's unknown how long he had been there or how he died.
Police say, though, that no foul play is suspected in his death.
An investigation has been opened into how Franks ended up dead up the basement for months without anyone spotting his body.
"It was weird," his sister, Kai Franks, told clickondetroit.com. "It's just a really weird thing."
