(WWJ) Four men are in the hospital this morning following a quadruple shooting on Detroit's northwest side last night.
Police say that the group was at a park near Bradford and Kennebec around 10 p.m. when a stranger pulled up and started firing shots.
One of the victims fired back, but it's unknown if the suspect was hit.
All four victims went to the hospital following the shooting. The suspect is still at large -- and is believed to be driving a dark colored Chevy Trailblazer.
Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
This is the second quadruple shooting in Detroit this summer amid an uptick in violence during the pandemic. Detroit police have shot three suspects this summer and in one incident alone, confiscated 500 weapons.
"We have not seen the number of handguns that we're seeing now," Police Chief James Craig told reporters at a news conference a few weeks ago.
"We want the violence to stop, and they're going out and they're making illegal gun arrests, every day," the chief said. "And imagine going into that situation."
