(WWJ) A 29-year-old man is under arrest after allegedly shooting at police officers.
Michigan State Police troopers responded to reports at Lilac and McNichols that officers were being shot at. The suspect ran when they arrived, and dropped his gun behind a nearby house.
Police say the suspect was eventually found by a police tracking dog.
But the suspect didn't give up easily, police said, noting that he resisted arrest and officers had to use pepper spray to subdue him.
One trooper suffered minor injuries in the arrest and the suspect was turned over to Detroit police for further investigation. Unknown is what led to him opening fire at first responders and whether he was involved in any other crime.
