(WWJ) On the same night a man was beaten to death following a car crash on the west side, in the same general area -- near Wyoming and Fullerton -- three people were shot, and one killed overnight.
The incident included a 27-year-old man who was shot multiple times and then run over with a car. He was left lying on the scene, dead, as the suspects fled.
Police say the shooting occurred around 12:30 a.m. Sunday in the area of Washburn between Buena Vista and Fullerton.
Police say the second victim, a 54-year-old man, suffered a graze wound to his arm and was taken to the 10th precinct for medical treatment.
The third victim, a woman, showed up at the hospital with a gunshot wound to the shoulder. She is in serious condition.
Police say at this time, the reason or motive for the shooting is unknown.
"The scene stretches two to three blocks, with spent casings," WXYZ reported.
Police do not have a motive or a suspect description.
