(WWJ) Police are gathering more information on an incident that ended with a man throwing a brick through the window of a Highland Park Liquor Store over the weekend.

Video surveillance showed a man holding a bag over his mouth while walking into Azzo's Liquor, and then being turned away by the store clerk for not wearing an actual mask.

In response, the man then picked up a brick and threw it at the store -- breaking a display and a window before leaving the scene.

The Michigan Retailers Association issued a statement saying “If you’re against wearing a mask, don’t take it out on a store. They are not the ones who are ordering this.”

Michigan's executive order issued by the governor require masks inside any facility. Failure to do so carries a possible $500 penalty. Last week, she ordered the Michigan State Police to start enforcing her coronavirus orders.
