DETROIT (WWJ) - Police in Detroit are searching for a man and a woman in connection with an assault and shooting at a gas station on the city's east side.
The incident unfolded just after noon on Friday at the Citgo gas station on Van Dyke Avenue and 7 Mile Road.
According to police, the 23-year-old victim pulled up to the gas station in a red 2001 Dodge Ram, got out of his truck and started talking to the suspect. As the victim was walking away, police say the suspect produced two handguns and began assaulting the victim, then shot him.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment and listed in temporary serious condition.
