DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police are searching for a suspect who carjacked a mother and her three children on the city's west side.
The incident happened just after 11 p.m. Friday in the 19500 block of Plymouth, east of Evergreen Road.
The 28-year-old woman told police she was inside of her vehicle with her three children when an unknown man approached and ordered them out of the car at gunpoint. The victims complied and the suspect fled the scene east on Plymouth. No one was injured.
The victim's vehicle was later recovered less than five miles away in the area of Joy Road and Oakman, but officers found no signs of the suspect.
Police have released a photo of the suspect but did not provide his name or a physical description -- expect to say he should be considered armed and dangerous.
