(WWJ) One person is dead and another is injured following a shooting in Inkster overnight.
Michigan State Police say more than 50 shots were fired at around 1:20 a.m. Wednesday, and two men were hit.
A 27-year old man was found dead in the Chevy Traverse that was parked on Glenwood Street, near Middlebelt and Avondale. A second man was shot, but has non-life threatening injuries, police said.
Earlier reports said that there were two people injured, but police said they learned that a woman with the two men was not hurt.
Detectives weren't able to find any witnesses and there were no arrests as of late Wednesday afternoon.
Police have not released any information about a possible motive or a suspect, but MSP investigators say they so not believe that this was a random shooting.
The victim's name has not been released as the investigation continues.
