WWJ 950 expects to learn soon whether an Inkster mother will be charged with the stabbing death of her toddler son.
Police found the 3-year-old dead at home after relatives called for help because they had been unable to reach her.
When they arrived, they discovered the little boy had been stabbed inside a home on Lehigh Avenue, in the area of Inkster Rd and Annapolis.
Inkster police told reporters they were looking for the child's mother, who wasn't at the house when police arrived. She was eventually discovered by the fugitive apprehension team, and arrested, though police have not said where she was found.
As the investigation continues, other circumstances surrounding the toddler's death remain unclear, though relatives reportedly told police the mother had mental issues.
No names have been released officially, though FOX 2 reports the tot's name was Zion.
"He was a beautiful child," his mother's uncle told FOX 2. "He was very loved. He had a beautiful smile."
