FARMNGTON HILLS (WWJ) Michigan's youngest murder convict, Nathaniel Abraham, faces new charges for selling drugs in Oakland County.

Abraham was arraigned via video on nine drug-related counts, Friday afternoon, in 47th District Court in Farmington Hills and in 50th District Court in Pontiac.

According to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office, the 33-year old was arrested Thursday night after weeks-long joint drug investigations by the Oakland County Narcotics Enforcement Team and the South Oakland Narcotics Intelligence Consortium.

Assistant Oakland County Prosecutor Paul Walton told WWJ's Charlie Langton that Abraham was caught selling heroin and methaphedamines in Farmington Hills, and likely cocaine in Pontiac.

He said police also found more than $3,000 in cash at a home in Pontiac where Abraham was staying.

"Undercover officers encountered Mr. Abraham, and he offered to sell," Walton said. "They purchased meth on several different occasions...I think it was between five and eight separate occasions."

"That became the basis also of the search warrant," he added. "That allowed the officers to execute the search warrant last night, and take him into custody."

Abraham was released from prison in June 2017 and discharged from parole June 28. He had been incarcerated since he was 11 years old. That's when he was convicted for the murder of 18-year-old Ronnie Green in 1997 in Pontiac.

Abraham's road since he became a free man has been rocky. He was charged in August of 2018 with indecent exposure, and is due in court later this month for an exam on those charges.

He could face up to 20 years in prison if convicted in this latest cast against him.
