(WWJ) A Washtenaw County man is dead after a crash involving a car and dump truck, southeast of Ann Arbor.
Pittsfield Township Police say 27-year-old Yasin Mustafa of Pittsfield Township was killed at around 7 a.m. Monday, after he swerved to avoid traffic that was stopped on Ellsworth Road near Carpenter.
Mustafa lost control of his Volkswagen in the westbound lanes and veered into oncoming traffic where crashed into a dump truck headed eastbound, according to investigators.
Mustafa was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The truck driver, identified a 55-year-old Adrian resident, was not injured.
The Pittsfield Police Accident Investigation unit is investigating the crash. Any witnesses are asked to contact the Pittsfield Police at 734-822-4911..
