STERLING HEIGHTS (WWJ) - An Oakland County man is facing charges in connection with a police chase in Macomb County.
Sterling Heights police released dash cam video of the pursuit, crash and arrest on Tuesday.
As seen in the video, when the driver tried to turn into a parking lot south of Metropolitan Parkway, he lost control of the car, went of the road and hit a utility pole.
The driver, identified by police as 29-year-old Tryson Hairston of Birmingham, wasn't injured. He had warrants for his arrest, police said, and was taken into custody at the scene.
Hairston was arraigned on charges of Fleeing and Eluding Police, Driving On a Suspended license and No Insurance. Bond was set at $5,000, cash/surety or 10%.
