FERNDALE (WWJ) - Ferndale police are reaching out for help from the public to identify a thief caught on camera.
"All the stuff that happens on camera, you think that by now people, including the police, would not that there's cameras everywhere," said Ferndale Police Sgt. Baron Brown. "And I guess that's a lesson we're still learning."
While police did not identify the business, it's clear from the video footage it the new All Paw Spa, described on Facebook as "an innovative, full-service grooming salon and pet spa that is geared towards all dogs and cats."
Brown said the man got away with around $350; and while that may not sound like a lot of money: "We're proud of the fact that we have a lot of mom and pop shops here in Ferndale that are, you know, owned by people that have had a lifelong dream to open a business...and $350 bucks is a lot to them, it's probably their profit for the month maybe."
Anyone who recognizes the man in the video is asked to call Ferndale Police at 248-541-3650.
