(WWJ) Dearborn police are asking for help to identify an armed robber still at large, more than a month after he held up a local pharmacy.
On July 10, just after 1 p.m., officers were flagged down by an employee of Cherry Hill Pharmacy, at 23100 Cherry Hill St. near W. Outer Dr., who said the pharmacy had just been robbed at gun point.
The suspect took an unknown amount of prescription narcotics, according to investigators, which he placed in a black wastebasket. He was last seen walking toward N. Martha before it's believed he got into a vehicle, possibly a dark colored Chevy Equinox, and fled the area.
No one was hurt.
The suspect is described as a dark-skinned Black male, mid 20s to early 30s, 6'-6'3" tall, with a slim build and braided hair. He wearing a blue baseball cap with an orange logo on the left side, a distinctive waist length jacket with horror movie characters, white pants and white gym shoes with black shoelaces. The suspect was also wearing a black dust or respirator mask, a surgical glove on his left hand and was armed with a black semi-automatic pistol with a laser, police said.
Dearborn police released video and still images from the pharmacy's security camera, in hopes that someone in the public recognizes the suspect.
"Brazen acts of violent crime will not be tolerated in the City of Dearborn," said Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad. "We will continue to work tirelessly and utilize all assets available to us to ensure that offenders are identified and held accountable without delay."
