(WWJ) A car crash in Detroit has claimed the life of a 2-year-old boy, and left two other young children fighting to survive.
Detroit Police say the driver, 29, of a Dodge Challenger was speeding eastbound on W. Eight Mile near Cherrylawn when he collided with a Ford Escape, around 2 pm Friday.
Investigators tell WWJ the driver of the Challenger slammed into a building. The driver and the three children inside his car; a 2-year-old boy, 4-year-old boy and 6-year-old girl; were rushed to the hospital.
The 2-year-old boy passed away shortly after arriving at the hospital, according to police. The other two children and the man are in critical condition.
The woman driving the Ford Escape, 63, is also in critical condition.
