(WWJ) Detroit police are asking for tips from the public as they search for a man who allegedly opened fire on a family with a long gun.
According to investigator, at around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 18, the 36-year-old victim was at his home in the 20100 block of Spencer St. with the suspect, when they got into an argument.
While the two were arguing, the suspect allegedly brandished an AR-15 rifle, then drove away in a black four door Nissan.
A short time later, as the victim and his family were leaving the house, police said the suspect pulled up and fired shots in their direction.
The victim returned gunfire as the suspect fled northbound on Spencer St.
Fortunately, no was was injured.
Police have not been able to track down the suspect, who is wanted on a charge of aggravated assault.
He is described as a 25-year-old Black male, 5'10'' tall, with dark hair, dark brown eyes and dark brown complexion. Although police so appear to know who he is, they have not released his name.
Providing a photo of the man, police are hoping someone in the public has seen him or knows of his whereabouts.
