DETROIT (WWJ) - A driver was killed early Wednesday morning when their truck went off I-75 and hit a tree in Detroit.
The crash happened around 5:30 a.m. on the southbound side of the freeway near State Fair, just north of 7 Mile Road.
Circumstances surrounding the crash weren't immediately clear. The driver is trapped in the vehicle and has to be extricated.
Police are on the scene investigating and say delays are expected. The southbound side of the freeway could also be shut down completely at some point this morning. Drivers are urged to avoid the area.
