(WWJ) With more businesses reopening and people going back to work, gas prices are on the rise Southeast Michigan.

According to AAA Michigan, drivers are paying an average of $2.16 a-gallon in metro Detroit, up four cents from a week ago. That's still not too bad though, relatively. The prices are still about 60 cents less than a year ago.

Statewide, AAA says the average price of a gallon of gas is $2.11, that's 23 cents more than a month ago. The Metro Detroit area, Ann Arbor and Marquette have the highest gas prices in Michigan at the moment, while drivers will find the lowest prices are in Flint, Grand Rapids and Traverse City.

If you're looking for a deal in metro Detroit, GasBuddy.com shows the best reported price, as of Monday morning, was at the CITGO on the corner of Jefferson Ave. and Masonic Blvd. in St Clair Shores. It's only $1.79 a-gallon at that station if you pay in cash. The second best deal, at $1.83 for cash customers, is at the TJK at Groesbeck Hwy. and 13 Mile Rd. in Roseville.

Tied for the number three spot are a bunch of Sam's Club and Costco locations in metro Detroit, at $1.83 for those who have memberships to those stores.

The most expensive price reported in metro Detroit Monday morning was, unsurprising, the BP at the corner of Crooks Rd. and W. Big Beaver in Troy, at $2.43. The's typically one of the priciest stations any day of the week.
