(WWJ) A tragic crash in Warren involving a piece of construction equipment has claimed the life of a little girl.
Police say a "front-end loader" toppled off a trailer, attached to a dump truck, and crushed a vehicle. That car was carrying a 10-year-old girl and her mother. Investigators tell WWJ the dump truck ran a red light, leading to the crash.
It happened in the area of 10 Mile and Ryan Road around 10 am Saturday.
The little girl was killed.
Warren Mayor Jim Fouts posted about the incident on Facebook and offered his condolences to the family.
The mother was not seriously hurt.
