(WWJ) Police are searching for suspects are they investigate a string of drive-by shootings in Harper Woods.

In each incident, beginning on May 1, police say the suspects fired multiple rounds at or into homes from moving vehicles.

The locations were in the 19600 block of Woodmont, 18500 block of Washtenaw, 19900 block of Washtenaw, and 19400 block of Roscommon.

Three of the homes were occupied at the time and one unoccupied, police said.

Fortunately, no one was injured in any of the four.

While Harper Woods Department of Public Safety responded to each of these scenes followed by detective bureau investigations, police said, there have been no arrests as yet.

"Detectives have been faced with the unfortunate challenge of complainants not willing to cooperate with the investigations," the police department said in a release out Wednesday. "Despite this lack of cooperation, detectives continue to investigate these crimes and have made progress."

There is some indication that at least a couple of the shootings may be related.

Police said shell casing evidence has been linked to other shooting in surrounding jurisdictions, and Harper Woods detectives are now working with these other law enforcement agencies to identify suspects responsible for these shootings.

"The Harper Woods Department of Public Safety continues to prioritize the safety of its community," police added.

As the investigation continues, anyone with information about any of these incidents is asked to call dispatch at 313-343-2530. To remain anonymous, call the Crime Stoppers tip line at 1-800-SPEAK UP (1-800-773-2587).
