MT. CLEMENS (WWJ) - A man has been arrested for the shooting death of another man in his ex-girlfriend's Macomb County home.
The Macomb County Sheriff's Office got a 911 call just before midnight Sunday from Court Street in Mount Clemens, where a woman reported that her ex-boyfriend had broken into her house.
The woman told deputies the suspect -- armed with a shotgun -- came in through a side door and entered her bedroom, where the victim, 26-year-old Jovon Houston of Mount Clemens, was in bed.
Sheriff's officials say the suspect opened fire, shooting Houston multiple times in the face, shoulder and leg.
He was pronounced dead at a local hospital. The woman was not hurt.
The shooter, whose name has not yet been released, fled on foot but was tracked to nearby Clinton Township where he was taken into custody. He remains in the Macomb County Jail awaiting charges.
