DETROIT (WWJ) - A man accused in a string of fast food restaurant armed robberies in metro Detroit now in custody
An eight-page federal complaint charges Moses Champion of robbery and using a dangerous weapon during a crime.
Federal investigators say Champion was involved in robberies at Taco Bell restaurants in Dearborn Heights, Livonia, Milford (image above) and Independence Township in November and December of last year.
He also is accused of robbing a Starbucks in Redford Township, and trying to rob a Burger King in Auburn Hills.

Investigators found DNA on a ski mask used in one of the robberies and linked it to Champion, according to the indictment.
Champion was arrested at his home on Wednesday and confessed to the robberies, according to the FBI — allegedly telling detectives that he threw the gun he used in the crime in a lake off Hines Drive.
As a result, Oakland County Sheriff's Office divers and police were on the scene at Hines Park and Livonia Thursday, searching the water for the weapon. Hines Dr. was closed at Inkster Rd., on the Livonia-Redford Township border due to the investigation.
Champion is due back in federal court for a detention hearing Friday.
