
DEARBORN (WWJ) - Police are investigating after a man was struck and killed by an Amtrak train in Dearborn.
The incident happened Monday evening on the tracks near Telegraph Road and Michigan Avenue.
"Train 354 was delayed for about three hours and 45 minutes in Dearborn after it made contact with someone who was trespassing on the railroad tracks," Amtrak spokesperson Marc Magliardi told WWJ's Brooke Allen.
The man was declared dead at the scene. His name has not been released.
No one on the train, which runs daily between Chicago and Pontiac, was injured.
The incident remains under investigation.
