Manager Tied Up During Armed Robbery At Applebee's

FRENCHTOWN TOWNSHIP (WWJ) - A manager at a Monroe County Applebee's was tied up as an armed robber took money from the restaurant's safe Tuesday morning.

Police say the incident unfolded around 8 a.m. as the manager was opening the restaurant, on Telegraph Road just north of Stewart Road in Frenchtown Township.

The suspect ordered the manager to open the safe at gunpoint, then bound the manager and took an unknown amount of cash from the safe. He fled the scene and remains at large. 

The suspect is described as a man wearing dark-colored clothing and a ski mask.

The manager was not injured.
