State Police Searching For Michigan Man Missing On 65th Wedding Anniversary

(WWJ) Michigan residents are being asked to keep an eye out for a missing 87-year-old man, amid a statewide search.

According to Michigan State Police, Karl Adam Marker of Kochville Township and his wife are celebrating 65 years of marriage on Tuesday.

Marker was last seen at 8 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, driving his 2011 GMC Savannah van, described as a light tan or silver with Michigan license plate: AUY500.

He headed to the Fashion Square Mall in Saginaw, where he would frequently walk for about an hour, but it's unclear if he ever arrived and he did not return home.

Marker was then reported missing by family members who say he has been diagnosed with dementia.

A statewide search effort, by air and on the ground, has been underway since last Thursday morning, with billboards posted all across Michigan.

Police said troopers with the Tri-City Post have "investigated and exhausted" every lead, and now believe Marker may have traveled out of the Tri-City area — to metro Detroit or elsewhere.

Marker is described as a white male, around 5'7" tall and weighing185 lbs. He has blue eyes and gray hair.

Residents are asked to dial 911 if they see Marker or his vehicle. Anyone with other relevant information is asked to call the MSP Tri-City Post at 989-495-5555.
