(WWJ) Sisters who ran away from home in Macomb County's Chesterfield Township last week are back home safe.
According to Chesterfield Township police, Chesterfield Township detectives located Vanessa Shain and Savannah Shain early Tuesday evening on Detroit's west side — with the help of the U.S. Marshalls and Detroit police.
"The girls are safe and are currently being transported back to Chesterfield Twp.," police said.
Police earlier said they had reason to believe that the juvenile girls, whose ages were not provided, may have been in western Wayne County.
Details about where they were ultimately located were not released.
