(WWJ) -- A man accused of sexual assault at a party in Oakland County was arrested at a Chicago airport as he tried to flee the country for Mexico.

The Oakland County Sheriff's Office says 28-year-old Paul Oscar-Cuevas Alvarado, a resident of Saltillo, Mexico, was apprehended by U.S. Marshals Wednesday morning at Chicago O'Hare International Airport attempting to board a flight to Dallas, Texas, then a connecting flight to Mexico.

The Oakland County Prosecutor's Office issued a felony warrant for his arrest Tuesday for 3rd degree criminal sexual conduct -- a 15-year felony -- stemming from an alleged assault at a party in Commerce Township in October.

A 21-year-old woman accused Alvarado of raping her on Oct. 17, according to a report from Fox 2 in Detroit. The report says the woman became sick during the party and went to bed. That's when another woman at the party and the host of the party began having sex in the same room where the victim was sleeping, and Alvarado allegedly came in and began having sex with the unconscious woman, according to the report. The other woman reportedly yelled at Alvarado and shoved him off the victim.

Alvarado, who has been living in Dearborn on a work visa, is currently being held in Chicago awaiting extradition to Oakland County.
