DETROIT (WWJ) -- A police investigation is underway after the deaths of two men at a Detroit gas sstation on the city's west side Monday morning.
Detroit police say a distressed man drove up and walked into the Mobil gas station at the corner of Fenkell Avenue and Greenfield Road around 10 a.m. The man was armed with a gun asking for help, and called the police.
As the man was waiting for police to arrive, he walked outside the gas station and shot another man who was walking toward the gas station, before turning the gun on himself and taking his own life.
Authorities have said they do not believe the two men knew each other, according to multiple reports.
Police have released little details about the shooting, including the victims' names. It is not clear what may have prompted the incident, and police are still investigating.
