(WWJ) Detroit police have released a photo as they continue their search for a driver wanted in a deadly hit-and-run.
According to investigators, just after 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 10, the 57-year-old victim was in his wheelchair crossing Joy Road, near Dexter Ave., on the city's west side.
The man was struck by a black Chevy Tahoe, police said, which did not stop — fleeing northbound on Dexter. The victim, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Video captured by a camera at a nearby Project Green Light businesses showed that the suspect's vehicle was black, with damage to the driver side headlight and front grill, police said.
No description of the wanted driver has been provided.
