MADISON HEIGHTS (WWJ) - A section of I-75 is closed after a semi-truck crashed into a wall in a construction zone in Oakland County.

The crash happened around 6 a.m. Friday along northbound I-75 just north of 12 Mile Road in Madison Heights, where construction shifts the traffic flow over to the southbound lanes.

A semi-truck was traveling northbound when it crashed into a concrete separation wall between the lanes of travel, pushing the concrete into the left southbound lane.

Reporting live from the scene, WWJ's Mike Campbell said an SUV that was traveling southbound also apparently ran off the freeway and ended up flipping over, perhaps as a reaction to the initial crash.

It's unknown if anyone was injured.

Northbound I-75 was closed at 12 Mile Road for about four hours while crews were clearing the scene, but has since reopened to traffic.
