State Police Trooper Struck On I-75 In Oakland County

DAVISBURG, Mich. (WWJ) -- A Michigan State Police trooper was taken to the hospital Sunday morning after his patrol car was struck along I-75 in northern Oakland County.

Authorities tell WWJ the trooper was handling another crash on northbound I-75 near Davisburg Road when his car was hit.

It was not immediately clear whether the driver of the other vehicle stopped at the scene.

The trooper, who was inside his car at the time of the crash, was taken to a hospital, but authorities did not disclose his condition. 

Traffic was slow in the area as the investigation and clean-up were ongoing. Officials say the crash scene has been cleared, but the area is still congested.
