FENTON (WWJ) - Police are on the hunt for the thieves who stole around $15,000 worth of apples from a local orchard.
The owner of Spicer Orchards says thieves stripped roughly 7,000 pounds of apples off five acres worth of trees sometime between October 6 and 10.
Tire tracks were left behind in the grass, but the crime was not captured on the orchard's surveillance system because cameras were pointed in another direction for hunting season.
Police don't have a description of the suspects, but two or three vehicles are believed to have been involved.
Anyone who has information is asked to contact police at 810-629-5311.
