WATERFORD TWP. (WWJ) - Police are looking for help from the public to identify a grinch at large in Oakland County.
According to investigators, at around 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2019, a man stole several gift items from a vehicle parked in the parking lot of Meijer on Highland Rd. (M-59) at Pontiac Lake Rd. in Waterford Township.
The suspect — described by police as a white male with an average build blond hair, a mustache and goatee — removed several gifts from the backseat of an unlocked vehicle and put them in his shopping cart.
The man, who was wearing a navy blue hooded coat and a black "Monster" brand t-shirt, then pushed the cart across the lot to his own vehicle — a silver Kia Soul with a large dent on the hood— and left the area.
Police released photos of the suspect and his car on Tuesday, asking anyone who recognizes him to give them a call.
