WESTLAND (WWJ) - Disturbing details are coming to light in the case of a Westland man charged in the death of a Westland woman

The body of 23-year-old Olivia Rossi was discovered in Hines Park on Friday after authorities believe she died at the hands of 25-year-old Anthony Kesteloot.

According to investigators, Kesteloot picked Rossi up in his truck at around 10 p.m. on Sunday, August 18; eventually taking her back to his house in the 29150 block of Manchester.

"The pair reportedly had sex and smoked crack cocaine together, which was supplied by Kesteloot for their encounter," Det. Sergeant Chris Gazdecki testified at an arraignment in 18th District Court Monday. "During this time Kesteloot choked Rossi by the throat until she no longer responded with signs of life."

Once she was dead, Gazdecki said: "Kesteloot wrapped Rossi in bloody sheets and inserted her into the clothing hamper in his room. Kesteloot transported Rossi from the residence in his truck. Kesteloot drove to hearby Hines Park and disposed of the hamper, the linens and the body of Olivia Rossi into the Rouge River."

Family members, who reported Rossi missing three days later, said she and Kesteloot were friends who knew each other since high school.

Kesteloot was arrested following and investigation by Westland police and charged by Wayne County Prosecutors Monday with Disinterment of a Dead Body, Obstruction of Justice, Removing a Dead Body, Failure to Report a Dead Body and Tampering with Evidence in a Criminal Case.

Kesteloot, who police say confessed to the killing, has not yet been charged with murder as authorities await the result of an autopsy.

He was ordered held on a $100,000 cash/surety bond and is scheduled to appear in court for a probable cause conference on Sept. 5.
