DETROIT (WWJ) - It's time to check your fridge, especially if you eat Mexican food.
Whole Foods is recalling Green Chile Chicken Tamales that were sold at stores in Michigan and 23 other states.
The tamales contain undeclared milk and people who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of having a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they eat them.
The tamales were sold in plastic containers and in family-style meal kits with Whole Foods Market scale labels. They were also available on the self-serve hot bar and from the chef's case.

- Green Chile Chicken Tamale, Hot Bar, Best By: 3/1/2020
So far, Whole Foods isn't aware of any reports of illness.
Consumers who bought the tamales should take their receipt back to the store for a full refund. Consumers with additional questions can call 1-844-936-8255.
