DETROIT (WWJ) - An investigation is underway after a woman was found dead, Monday afternoon, in Detroit.
Detroit police investigators are on this science this hour at a west side apartment complex after a woman was found dead in a room.
Police said a 911 call came in at around 1 p.m.from someone who heard a commotion in one of the apartments, located along Schaefer Road near Fenkell.
Officers went inside and found the 54-year-old woman dead. While reports say it's believed she was beaten to death, police are not offering any details about how they believe she was killed. Her name has not been released.
No arrest have been made, and no suspects have been described.
