State Police say they were on their way to I-94 near Woodward in Detroit when they saw the wrong way driver slam into another car, around 2 am Saturday.

The woman driving the right way was killed. The wrong way driver is hospitalized in unknown condition.

In the other crash, State Police tell WWJ a man was thrown from his car after it rolled over. He is in the hospital. No word on his condition.

The ages of the victims have not been revealed, as well as the gender of the wrong way driver. State Police are working to notify their families.

No word if drugs or alcohol were a factor.

That area of the freeway was closed for a period of time Saturday morning but has since been reopened.
