(WWJ) Tweeting a photo of what looked to be about a foot of the white stuff on Monday, Marquette-area resident Greg Kretovic wrote: "Why you never put away your snowblower until at least May in Michigan's Upper Peninsula."
As a spring storm brought a mixed bag of weather to Michigan — with high winds in metro Detroit and big waves on Lake Michigan — photos taken Up North showed heavy, wet snow piling up the afternoon of April 13.

Forecasts called for as much as 24 inches of snow .... and early snow totals from the National Weather Service showed that was becoming a reality in some areas of the U.P. by mid-afternoon.
