DETROIT (WWJ) - Police are trying to track down the owner of three German Shepherds who were corralled on the Lodge Freeway in Detroit overnight.
Michigan State Police say troopers got a call about a loose dog on the freeway near Forest Avenue, just south of I-94. When they arrived in the area, troopers realized it was actually three scared German Shepherds on the freeway.
With the help of a citizen, troopers were able to safely get all three dogs in their patrol cars and take them back to the station.
"As you can see they were happy to see us and were pretty tired from their experience," police said on Twitter.
Anyone who is missing the dogs or has any other information is asked to contact police at 734-287-5000.
