DETROIT (WWJ) -- The search is on for a Detroit woman with a mental disability who went missing over the weekend.
Detroit police say 20-year-old Jalonda Crook was last seen around 3 p.m. Saturday in the 20400 block of Irvington Street, just south of 8 Mile Road on the city's north side. Crook's family says they are concerned for her safety because she has the mental capacity of a 12-year-old child.
Police say Crook, approximately 5-foot-9, 140 lbs., has short, black, braided hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a red, white and blue sweater and blue jeans.
Police say Crook is in good physical condition, but walks with a limp and is mentally challenged.
Anyone who has seen Jalonda Crook or knows of her whereabouts is asked to call the Detroit Police Department's 11th Precinct at 313-596-1140 or 313-596-1101. Calls can also be made anonymously to Crime Stoppers of Michigan at 1-800-Speak Up.
