DEARBORN (WWJ) - Dearborn police are asking for the public's help in solving a case of unidentified skeletal human remains.

The body, of what investigators believe to be an older white male, was discovered April 23 by transportation workers in a wooded area near the train tracks at Michigan Ave. and Miller Rd. just west of I-94.

While foul play does not appear to have been involved, police have not been able to ID the person.

The man was wearing tan pants, a tan Carhart style jacket, an orange knit cap, a brown boot on one foot and a yellow rain boot on the other.

He was also wearing a shirt that had a distinct image of a small, dark-haired child positioned near a high-wheel bicycle.

On Wednesday, police released a photo of the t-shirt image, hoping that someone in the public may recognize it.

“Our relationship with the community is our greatest asset," said Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad, in a statement.

Police added that they believe the man was possibly homeless at the time of his death.

Anyone with information that could help police identify him is asked to call police at 313-943-2241.
