DETROIT (WWJ) - Winter weather brought the QLINE in Downtown Detroit to a sudden halt Wednesday morning.
QLINE service was temporarily suspended due to extensive flooding on Woodward Avenue caused by ice and slush buildup blocking catch basins near State Street, just north of Campus Martius.
It took crews a couple hours to clear the blockage but by 10 a.m., the QLINE was rolling again.
Ice in downtown Detroit on State Street, just west of Woodward, is clogging the catch basin so water can’t drain. @DetroitWaterDep is on the job!! But the @qlinedetroit is back running again. @WWJ950 @FOX2News pic.twitter.com/h19rSfntiQ
