(WWJ) It's National Pothole Day! Well, maybe that's a misplaced exclamation point because it's surely a holiday that brings more jeers than cheers.
Let's try that again: it's national pothole day.
WWJ tooled around the metro area talking to commuters for the erstwhile holiday and cemented what most everyone already knew. Many believe metro Detroit is the pothole capital of the world.
Here's a peek at what the public says about Michigan's potholes.
I'm pretty sure Michigan is just one giant pothole

Given one of every four-cars that rolls into the shop are due to the bad roads, you think they'd be celebrating National Pothole Day, but Gary Gibson, manager at Top Tech car care in Royal Oak says it's not all that fun.
Here's how it usually goes, Gibson said:
"Telling a customer with a part we preciously replaced that it's bad again. We'll honor our warranty and take care of it as best we can. It's time the customer has to drop off the car, it's time we've got to spend. It's definitely problematic for everybody involved."
He added on top of that, it's tough to locate hard-to-find specialty rims to replace those that were bent by those unforgiving chuckholes.
He's bracing for the annual deluge of repairs that begin in winter and spring. Potholes bring in about 25 percent of his business.
