ANN ARBOR (WWJ) - Police are investigating reports that a 2-year-old Wisconsin girl who is the subject of an AMBER Alert may be in Michigan.

Police say Noelani Robinson was last seen Monday in Milwaukee, the same day her mother, Sierra Robinson, was shot and killed. The suspect, Dariaz Higgins, fled with the child and was on the run for days before he was arrested Wednesday afternoon.

While Higgins, Noelani's biological father, was taken into custody, police found no signs of the girl.

Reports indicate Milwaukee police got a tip that the child could be in Ann Arbor, but local police say there's no evidence at this point that she could be here. Police also received a tip that she could be in St. Cloud, Minnesota.

At this time, an active AMBER Alert remains in place.

Noelani is described as a black female, 2' tall and 30 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes.

Police say they will continue to use all available resources to locate Noelani.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
