Suspect Sought For Fatal Shooting At Cartier Lounge On Detroit's East Side

DETROIT (WWJ) -- The search is on for a man who police say fatally shot another man during a dispute outside a nightclub on the city's east side earlier this summer.

Detroit police released surveillance photos of the suspect on Tuesday. 


Authorities say around 2 a.m. on Sunday, June 23, a 30-year-old man was at the Cartier Lounge, located on Morang Avenue between Somerset Avenue and Nottingham Road, when a fight ensued with the suspect and unknown parties in the lounge's parking lot.

The victim was inside the location and the suspect retrieved a weapon from an unknown location, before returning to the lounge, opening the outer door and firing a gunshot the fatally wounded the victim. The suspect fled the location in an unknown vehicle in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a black male with medium brown complexion. He was wearing glasses with a dark Fila T-shirt, and had short dreadlocks or twists in his hair.

Police are asking for any help identifying and locating the suspect.
