TAYLOR, Mich. (WWJ) -- A Taylor man with 10 prior drunk driving convictions is facing yet another charge after being arrested Saturday for driving a motorcycle carelessly along a metro Detroit interstate.
Michigan State Police say a sergeant was heading home from his shift on Saturday, when he saw a man driving a a motorcycle carelessly along westbound I-94 near Telegraph Road. Police say the driver was speeding, weaving in and out of traffic and even taking both hands off the handlebars at the same time.
Police say he was pulled over and he failed sobriety tests. Investigation revealed the 55-year-old Taylor man had 10 prior drunk driving convictions.
He refused all chemical tests and police obtained a search warrant for a blood test.
He was lodged in the jail and State Police say they are seeking charges for drunk driving, driving with a revoked license and driving without a motorcycle endorsement.
MSP says the investigation is pending prosecutor review.
