PONTIAC (WWJ) - A student has been arrested for an alleged sexual assault at Pontiac High School.
According to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office, the assault took place Wednesday morning at the school, in the 1000 block of Arlene Ave. in Pontiac.
The victim, a 14-year-old Pontiac girl, told investigators that she and the suspect were in a secluded area of the school when the boy attacked her.
The suspect, identified as a 15-year-old Pontiac boy, was held by school security before being interviewed by detectives with his mother present. After the interview, a deputy took the teen to Oakland County Children's Village where he will remain lodged awaiting criminal charges.
The victim, officials said, was brought to Haven's START Program for a forensic examination.
