PONTIAC (WWJ) - Six arrests have been made, three in Metro Detroit, today in relation to a nationwide drug investigation.
Anthony Knight, Henry Thomas and Marlon Jackson have been taken into custody for their role in distributing cocaine, fentanyl, heroine and crystal meth in the Greater Detroit Area. According to the criminal complaint, the trio have been getting the drugs sent to them via USPS, among other methods, from Phoenix, Arizona.
The FBI Oakland County Gang and Violent Crime Task Force (OCGVCTF) saw Jackson taking out the trash on Root Street in Flint and conducted a search of the garbage and on April 2018. During the raid, OCGVCTF found multiple kilo-sized wrappers that later tested positive for fentanyl, per the criminal complaint.
Investigators also seized a package on February 11, 2019, that was being delivered to Jackson on Mauer Avenue in Pontiac that was carrying 2.5-3 kilos of cocaine.
Another package being sent from Phoenix to Clinton Township was intercepted by law enforcement on March 26, 2019.
Inside the package was 4.5 kilos of narcotics packed into four different items: three brick-shaped items wrapped in a silver packaging tape and one brick-shaped item wrapped in silver and black tape. All the items had 'CH' written on them.
The contents were tested and confirmed to be three kilograms of fentanyl and one kilogram of cocaine.
Federal agents stated that the group was selling the drugs for $40-50 per gram.
Knight has previous convictions in Michigan for criminal sexual conduct of the third degree and conviction for selling, distributing or dispensing narcotics.
Thomas has had previous run in with the law as well, getting charged with possession of a controlled substance, two counts of delivering/manufacturing controlled substances and failing to pay child support.
Jackson has convictions for armed robbery, possession of a felony firearm, two counts of selling/manufacturing heroine, larceny and possession of a controlled substance in the past.
